Abstract:?Understandingfeedbackofstarformationandchemicalevolutionofgalaxiesrequiresaccurateinterpretationofobservationaldata.However,spatially-resolvedobservationsonkpcscalesfromSDSS-IV/MaNGAandon100pcscalesfromPHANGS-MUSEhaverevealedmanyinconsistencieswithcurrentphotoionizationmodelsofstar-formingregions.Effortsresolvingthesepuzzlesarefurthercomplicatedbysmall-scalespatialcorrelationsbetweendustandionizedgas.Theseproblemswoulddirectlyleadtosystematicsinscalingrelationssuchasmass-metallicityrelationsanditssecondarydependences.Iwilldiscusstheresultsofouranalysesinthesedirections,whichcouldonlybeunderstoodbynewspectroscopyobservationsresolvingsub-parsecorfewparsecscales.Tothisend,wearedevelopingtheAMASE-Psurvey.Asapilotprogramofafuturelargerscalesurvey,AMASE-Pwillbeawide-areaintegralfieldspectroscopysurveystudyingtheionizedgasanddustintheMilkyWayandnearbygalaxieswithaspatialresolutionofsubparsecto10sofparsecs,andaspectralresolutionclosetoR~15,000.Itwillincludebothanorthernsurveyandasouthernsurvey,coverhundredsofsquaredegreesofskyintheMilkyWay,LMC,SMC,M31,M33,andotherlocalgroupgalaxies.Itisexpectedtostartobservingwithinayear.Iwilldescribetheprogressoftheprojectanditsscienceprospects. ?
